Two Rivers (Mesquite-Overton) Chapter

This chapter meets the third Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. with meetings alternating between Moapa Valley and Virgin Valley. Chapter Notes

The Two Rivers RPEN Chapter last met in Mesquite February 16, 2010. Their guest speaker was Jeffrey McKenna, an Estate Attorney. McKenna, who is licensed in Nevada, Arizona and Utah, talked about estate planning. He explained and answered questions concerning ownership of assets, probate, wills/trusts, estate and gift taxes along with other estate documents.

RPEN State President Hal Keaton also attended the meeting and talked about PEBP and PERS and invited members to get out and encourage more of their friends and former co-workers who are not yet members of RPEN to join. He said the 2011 session of the legislature will present even more challenges than the last two sessions in that the state's budget shortfall will be 2-3 times greater.

Toward that end the Two Rivers Chapter is currently planning a recruitment event to be held in Mesquite April 20th. More details will be made available later this month.
