RPEN Executive Director Marty Bibb and State President Hal Keaton traveled to Tonopah for the November 5 meeting where Bernie Merlino and Ruth "Pat" Caldwell received their 2009 Pat Fladager Special Recognition Awards.The awards were announced at the RPEN Annual Meeting held in September in Henderson. Neither recipient was able to attend the annual meeting, and so the decision was made to take the awards to them at the chapter's November meeting. Bernie, a past President of the Tonopah Chapter, joined RPEN in 1998. Pat retired in 1984, the same year she joined RPEN. She is a past Secretary and Vice-President of the organization.
